Donna M. (Reft) Shanno

Unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024, Donna, age 74, passed away at home. Donna was the wife of the late Stephen Shanno. Mother of Amy Bertolina, Baba to Alison (Zach) Pilarski, Sister of Tina Reft (Carl Tolino), Aunt of Zoe and P.J. Reft, Great-aunt of Jacklyn (Tom) Halligan and Damon Reft, Cousin of Karen (Reft) Cummins, Dear friend of Barb and Bev Rebovich and Nancy Zizis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Dorothy Reft as well as brothers, Peter Paul and Jackie Reft. Donna was part of the "Pyrohy Family" at her church and enjoyed making greeting cards. She was happiest listening to music, spending summer days at Mineral Beach and gardening in her beautiful back yard with the help of Annie, her beloved kitty. Friends received Sunday 2-8 PM in Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. 2323 E. Carson St. Parastas Service will be held Sunday 6:00 PM. Funeral Prayer Monday 9:00 AM in the funeral home. Funeral Service at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 109 So. 7th St., Pittsburgh, PA. 15203.
